St Mary, Shopland Church - Regrettably nothing but the graveyard survives of the old
Shopland church, following extensive damage during the Second World War, and
then, ultimately, complete demolition. Some parts of the church do, however,
live on.

St Mary, Shopland Church - This church consisted of a Norman nave and chancel, with a
weatherboarded belfry. The chancel was built early C14.
The font from St Mary's can now be found at St
Nicholas, Canewdon, whilst the south porch still stands outside St Thomas,
Bradwell-on-Sea.
