I would like to thank Kevin, the new owner (2015) of Mucking Church, for allowing me to comprehensively record the church at the beginning of May. === In the year 1849-50, the Ancient Parish Church of Mucking was partially demolished with a view to its reparation, it continued a ruin till 1852 when it was almost wholly rebuilt. In design the Chancel is nearly unique and of large dimensions, considering the size of the Church. === G. St John the Baptist, Mucking Church - Sadly yet another private residence. Though I believe this to be preferable to losing these buildings for good. Very difficult to get a shot of this one. The majority of this church is C19, apart from the chancel, whose perpendicular three-light east window is just visible here.
