Sacred to the memory of Rachel, wife of William Joseph Lockwood Esq. of Dews Hall in this parish and daughter of Sir Mark Wood, Baronet of Gatton in the county of Surrey. She died at Rome the 25th February 1874 aged 81 years. Her son, anxious that she should be buried by the side of her husband, caused her body to be brought to England and deposited in the family vault. "Her children arise up, and call her blessed."
